Now before you get all heated listen to this. How many of you have seen the movie known as "Snow White" ? It is a timeless classic that was actually started in Germany.
The book was so popular, that they did a film which was by Disney of course. But you know me,
being the Man that I am, I realized the subliminal message that was hidden deep within while watching.
Here you have a Woman who prayed for a daughter and that her skin would be as white as snow,
lips red as blood, and her hair as black as ebony. Now is this what the status quo sees as being the ideal Woman ? Some would say that it used to be. But look at Katie Perry, and she is probably the most popular singer in the world right now. So we have yet again bought into the image
that is often being potrayed by the media and magazines abroad. Do you think that this sends the
wrong message about the White Woman ? She is Snow White which means this. She is pretty,
virginal, sweet natured, and obedient. How many of you feel like you are under this impression ?
Do you feel any pressure at all to try and live up to this stereotype and expectations of Men in general ? Im curious. LOL
PATITA- Oh but I am sure that is a fantasy that most young girls have had before.
How old are you now ? LOL
MOON- That is why I bough up Katie Perry. There are some subliminal messages seen with her being advertised in magazines and on tv. She even looks like that in way if you watch the video by that rock band a few years back. Take A Look At My Girlgriend, Shes The Only One I Want………… Remember that ? Do you think that the media is using her in that manner to be seen by some as this White Heroine or a Snow White. <
Needless to say that some White Women probably see themselves as a Snow White. Imagine that.
THUMBZDOWN- According to some of the entertainers it was, like a lot of old school American films give us a subliminal message about race. King Kong was another one. But anyway.
The verdict stands, and you as usual sound like an idiot.
MEGAN- Actually you are wrong about that one dear. But I can see your lack of maturity a mile away. It does not surprise me to see you spew hot air out of your pretty little mouth. Or whats left of it anyway. LOL
MEGAN- Oh you know I was just joking around. There is no need to take offense dear. You are very smart even if you are quite incessant in the Im Little Miss Muppet category. I think you just proved my point. Say cheese. Ha, ha, ha. (camera flashing)

I know that this is really stupid, but I need a little bit of help. I have to buy a couple of these action figures for a birthday, and was just wondering if anyone knew where I could find any one of them, or all if possible. Keep in mind that I am looking for the ones that are around 6 inches, and mostly apposable.
The ones that i need to find include: Regular Hulk, Loki, Nightcrawler, and Deadpool. Also, if you guys know of any villain characters for Iron man and Wolverine, I would need to find those as well. (For instance the Mark I or the guy with the electric whips. Not sure whose good for wolverine… maybe sabertooth). I know thats a long list, but any help would be a ppreciated.
The only stores around me that I think will be of help is 2 Targets, 2 Toys R Us, and a Disney store. (Also, I know that there is a comic book store in the city that has figures and books… I know that that would be my best bet, but I’d like to avoid going all the way there).
I would appreciate any and all help.
I found loki, so scratch that. Still looking for Sabertooth, nightcrawler, deadpool, and hulk. forgot to mention no online sights.

Fairy Tales were dark and twisted.
In Cinderella there were no fairy god mothers and pumpkins. She would just sing a song and birds would fly in and give her a dress and shoes. And when the Prince was going around trying to find who wore the shoes, Her step sisters and step mother couldn’t fit the show so the step mother cut of her toe, the sisters cut off there heals. But the prince saw it and said no. And in the end it says that he made the step sisters and mother live in the woods where birds ate there eyes and they wandered blind forever.
My parents bought me a big book full of the original fairy tales written in like the 1800’s. I read those, never bothered reading the disney version or watching the cartoons, when I finally watched one I was surprised.

I got them around 1995. They were educational childrens books, square in shape, and not too big. I remember having one about dinosaurs and one about cats. The cat one had a few clear pages in it, the first one with the cat with fur, then you flip the page and can see underneath the fur to see muscles, then the third page had what a cat’s skeleton looks like. The cat one also had a page describing how when cats fall they flip right side up (showing a picture of a cat falling out of a tree, first upside down, then slowly turning, and at the bottom of the page it was standing on the ground.)
I remember those being my favorite books when I was younger and would love it if anyone knew the name of the book or the author!

I might be booking a villa in Florida for 3-4 friends in August but we don’t want to buy a car and we might not be able to even if we wanted to because of our ages and experience. (20-23) Is it possible to get to the main parks such as Universal, Disney, MGM and Seaworld without a car and if there are taxis and buses… how expensive are they? Thanks!

My husband recently died, and so my daughter Karen and I just moved into a new house a couple of months ago. It was a bit old, but it’s really lovely. It’s stone and a bit out in the country. The yard is huge and overgrown. Since we got here Karen is insisting the place is full of fairies(she’s seven). She’s become obsessed. She built a house out of moss and twigs and pebbles. We went to a local craft shop and Karen got a table with four chairs, a sofa, a bed, as well as tiny plates and cutlery and vases and things.
She’s bought some potted flowers(eh, maybe thirty?) and planted them, and we bought a little bird bath. And we got an baby oak tree and planted it in the corner of the yard.
Karen is always at the library checking out everything she can find on fairies, from Disney fairies to those rainbow magic things, to Flower Fairies of the Spring to those ‘factual’ books you can get about fairies in the Kid’s Reference/Mythology and Folklore section.
She buys little baby chocolate chips and has taken to baking cookies as big as a fingernail in the microwave, as well as buying a tiny tea set and making Wild-berry or Rose teas. She also makes tiny cakes and buys little candies for her fairy house. And she buys lacy fancy dresses(she’ll but those three inch tall porcelain dolls and take the fancy dresses) and gives them to the fairies.
I guess this is pretty normal, but she insists that the fairies are there and she talks to them, and sometimes she’ll just sit in the yard and talk to nothing for hours on end, and she says that they eat the little cookies and they talk to her.
I’m worried that she’s, I don’t know, withdrawing from reality or something, maybe because of the move and her father’s death? All she talks about are the fairies, and once she told me that she’d gone to a fairy party the last night. She said they danced and ate little berries and stuffed acorns and she wore her dress and a little band of fairies played music on tiny harps and flutes. I passed it off as a dream, but later I found her dress all on the floor with some dirt on it.
I know fairies are only imaginary, but I’m not sure if this is healthy. She talks about them by name and insists that they’re there. It’s like she thinks they’re real. I know imagination is good and a part of being a kid, but it’s the only thing she talks about all the time and she could spend all day in the yard or the woods around it, and it’s like she really thinks they’re there. Is there something the matter with her, or should I just let her be?

It was finally time for Disney to include another princess that was not white. From Arabic to Chinese characters, such as Jasmine and Mulan. After old and socially acceptable african american characters such as, the crows from Dumbo and the monkeys from The Jungle Book. Disney has finally made an african american princess.I have seen this princess tiana on merchandise but never implanted in between the original Disney princesses. I think that if Disney wants to have a black princess they should, but they should not implant her right in between the original ones. Will you be buying the princess with the black princess in it? Its about originality not racism.

I want to sing! SOOO bad! I have this crazy need to sing. I have had it for about a year but now… now it is just driving me insane! NO I Absolutely CANNOT take singing lessons. It is WAY to expensive so please don’t even mention it. And NO I can’t buy a book or a CD or anything like that. Again it is too much money. At my school we do sing songs in music and do all that. But they are like disney songs. :/ Is there any online things that have warmups or something? Anything that can make me sing better? Do you have any tips on how to sing better? Also… when I’m just singing to myself It sounds more than okay.
But when I record it it sounds like I’m 5. I always sound like a little kid on mic, phone, or recording myself. Help with that too! :O
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKb_y7G_pFA I kinda wanna sound like her.

I really want to do something special for my daughter, who’s eight. The last few months have been really hard on her. Her father and I are getting a divorce, which is bad enough since she’s always been a Daddy’s Girl. Add that to the fact that I have to move us to a more affordable state and live in a much smaller house as my husband is the one with the high paying job, it’s been a rough while for her.
Plus, her father has been skipping visits with her. I have NO IDEA why, since she’s his Little Princess(I don’t mean that in a mean way). Maybe he resents not getting custody, I don`t know.
Anyway, I want to do or buy something special for her. It`s been so tough on her, but she`s been brave. I don`t really have much to spend, so if it could be something affordable that`d be GREAT.
She`s very girly, and some things she likes are…
*Fairies. She`s obsessed with them. She buys little Polly Pocket clothes and furniture and leaves them in this sort pr field near our house as gifts for them. If she can possibly find a book on fairies, she`ll read it in two minutes.
* Classic Disney. She`s addicted to Aladdin, The Lion King, Cinderella, all that. But she doesn`t like that dolls, for some reason. Only the movies.
*Ballet. She loves it, she`s in lessons, and she`s VERY dedicated. It`s super important to her. I know it`s expensive, but I`ll find a good studio for her wherever we move to.
*Dollhouses. She makes them, and has a pretty impressive collection of Pots, Clocks, Plates, Lamps, Tables, Beds, etc from miniatures stores. She probably has a dozen pieces of furniture and thirty five paintings and lamps and stuff. Nice ones, not just those icky plastic ones. The ones that are like thirty bucks for a little pot. I thought about buying her a dollhouse, but it`s just so expensive to get a really NICE one. And I want one she`ll use, not just say thank you for.
*Pageants. I personally HATE them, but she`s crazy for them, so I let her enter maybe two or three times a year. That`ll probably stop now, since it`s so pricey. Not a thing I`m very sad about, TBH. The male judges really freak me out a bit. :O
So, any ideas for something I could buy or do for my daughter would be great. She`s been so good about this whole thing- no crying or yelling or whining- and I want to do something special to cheer her up and show her how much I appreciate that.

We’re attending a book character tea party at our library and my daughter says she wants to be Sleeping Beauty. Well getting the pink dress part isn’t so hard, but she HAS to have those white brims at the neck of the dress (link below)! How do I accomplish this without buying a pattern (we just found out about it today, and the party is on Saturday) or the dress from the Disney Store? Thank you!

There is this girl, she’s mates with the girls I’m mates with but i’m closer with most of them, i liked this guy and she knew and she told a bunch of people…including him, we ended up going out and she’d talk to him behind my back and try and make me look bad to him. I didn’t know it was that bad until i found out she’d told this random person from another school. It hit me hard and I stopped talking to her she turned a bunch of people against me cos they didn’t know my de of the story, this was a few months ago. We’re on hi and bye terms now and I still hang about with the same crowd as her. She’s going out with my ex now. And she seems to copy everything I do. This isn’t an exageration. Even the littlest things she seems to do too. And whats worst about them is she takes credit for my ideas. I’ll give you some examples and if you think i’m silly don’t answer this question:
1. I paint my nails black, so does she
2. I sat about one class doodling and drawing disney characters, she did the same then I came into the canteen one day at lunch and she was tellin everybody about how she’d just randomly decided to doodle in class and everyone was like omg thatsso cool
3. If i take a picture where I’m doing something funny she does the same as me
4. If i wear makeup she will
5. If i decide i’m going to read a certain book, she’s like oh i’m away to start reading that
6. Somethings my fave movie, she’ll go OH THATSMY FAVOURITE
7. In the harry potter series she said her favourite one was the seventh i go mines is the 3rd and she goes omg yeah i forgot about that one I love it too.
8. If i decide i like a certain band next thing I know she has just bought all of their cds
9. I edit photos for my fb for my friends. I edited one of me and my best friend and it has the lyrics to i’ll be there for you by the rembrandts from friends which is our favourite show, she had said before that she hated friends, then she edits a photo too with the same lyrics and same kind of style.
I know it may sound silly to some of you. But she takes credit for anything interesting that I do. There are more thngs too. She even tells people funny things she’s done that I did not her. I once heard her telling her mate how she’d had a lightsaber toy fight in her garage with her mates when I’d done that the weekend before and posted that I had on fb. Please tell me what i could do to sort this out………..i kinda want to tell her and part of me wants to teach her a lesson. Help me?

It was like I was in the same world I am now, but at the same time I wasn’t. It was like I was me, but I wasn’t.
My dream started out at OPJH. It was the school I went to before I became homeschooled. (NOW) I never really made friends there, I would just talk to some people. Anyways, I was back, doing a project I guess. The entire school, or so it looked like was in this big auditorium, I was sitting in the back, but behind me in the next row over was some guy I knew. He bugged me a lot. He tried to talk to me for a while, but I ignored him, he was mad at me for some reason I think. Next to me, was Alex, from WOWP on Disney. Not SELENA GOMEZ< ALEX! And then on my other side, there was someone else I knew. My old science teacher, mr swann, was up at the podium, speaking, a principle was also there. There were a lot of adults standing at the podium, I guess all of the teachers. It seemed like either an assembly, or an awards ceremony. Next thing I know the auditorium is empty, except for me, alex, the guy, the other girl I knew, and my old LA teacher, Mr. Schellhorn. He was telling us we had to finish a project, then leaves. I ask ‘What project?’ And the guy say “The project we couldn’t do because you were out!” I imagine that that meant because I was homeschooled then, idk. Then there is some talking on what book we should do the project on. I say alice in wonderland. They start debating, but finally agree. Next, were in the liabrary, unsupervised, like in pretty much all of this dream, We start running up and down, almost like HSM, without the dancing, and the singing, and all of that. We start gathering red and grey papers, and things related to AIW, to make a banner, like everybody else. That was the project I guess. Alex and I start talking for a while, she buys this yellow, poncho/ sweater thing. It changes, from time to time its used in my dream. Anyways, we finish the project, and turn it in to mr schellhorn.
Then the scenery totally changes. I home, in the living room, my moms sleeping on the couch, and its raining outside.Im writing something, or watching tv. Then I hear a car outside, and I get up to look. I see its this guy I have a crush on. Hes a drug dealer, and I know absolutely nothing about him, I never go near him, but see him a lot around my neighborhood. He gets out of his truck and comes walking over to my door. Drenched. BUT he leaves his car window open, that’s something hat bothers me, and keeps entering my mind when I think about the dream. I run over to my room to change chlothes. I hear the door bell ring. And yell “Coming! Give me a minute!” I keep repeating that, over, and over. In my room there is a bag, full of chlothes on the floor. Idk why. I search through the chlothes and put on some jeans, a shirt, and the yellow poncho/ sweater thingy I got from alex idk how. It s a really pretty, shear sweater now, made of lace. After about 10 minutes, of getting dressed, and saying im coming, I rush out to open the door. Im not expecting him to be there since I took so long but, hes there when I open the door. When I open the door, I say hey, smile. He smiles slightly, and says “Hey um im soacked, do you mind if I stay here for a while to chill? I say sure. He introduces him self, as Jacob, or John. Cant remember. Then he says “ you must be genesis, you don’t look anything like an 11 year old, and laughs, and comes inside the house. That bothers me, because im 13, not 11. Its just weird for someone to say that in a dream so could you please interpret that? Anyways, we talk in the lving room for a while, my mom still sleeping. Then I get somesort of signal, or text from alex. I tell him excuse me, and then I go over to my room to see her. After another 10 minutes of talking to her, I go go back out to the living room, but don’t see him there. I look out the window, and the street is sunny, like it never even rained. I look and see his white truck, window still opened. I notice that across the street in a vacant house, theres a myriad of cars, so many of them. I look and see “J” talking to people. I go outside, but then come back in, and my mom wakes up. THEN, theres a blank. And then im outside my house with my grandpa in his car, then, another blank, and im on the roof, of a building, theres a swimming pool, im with my mom and my step dad, bu they are in a completely different pool, (there’s 3, a hot tub, a kiddy pool, and a big one) Im in the big one, they are in the hot tub. Im swimming, thinking of the days events. I still have the poncho/sweater, but I think it’s a towel now. Then, there is another long blank, and I wake up.

her physical bf.
So basically, we met two years ago and she was my first hug, hand hold, kiss, etc. I bought her tons of gifts to lead up to telling her I loved her, and then I told her I loved her after a month and wanted to try having sex. She told me she ruined too many relationships because having sex with someone takes away from the mental aspect of the relationship. She wanted me to stay a pure virgin and love her as much as I always did.
This made perfect sense, and I agreed with her. Soon she said she wanted to have sex, but not with me for the reasons she stated before. She then said she had a friend she had sex with the night before because she had a strong urge to, and she would be having sex with him on a regular basis but would not love him like she loves me. This made me feel really good inside. She could even have sex with someone else and still love me! I was her "mental boyfriend" and he would be her "physical boyfriend".
For our anniversary we were going to book a trip to the Florida Keys as a romantic getaway. She told me we didn’t need to do something like that, but she would love to have a sexual getaway with the other guy. She convinced me to pay for it, and I mutually agreed since I understand she needs to have sex and I can’t provide her.
Now for our second anniversary I sent her and the guy to Cancun for another trip, even though I was kind of hoping to go to Disney World with her for a fun time. It is getting kind of frustrating she won’t go on a trip with me and then him later.
What should I do?

Okay the story is that theres this girl and her family who have vacations, you you know family stuff, always with my parents my lil sis and my dog. Im sick of her!!! Just recently I met with relatives i havent seen in forever. I’ll reannounce, FAMILY REUNION!!!! It wasnt just a reunion my relatives from my dads side were there.Grandma, my aunts and uncles and my cousins, even my moms sister!!! But the thing is one of my aunts couldnt make it, well its because my cousins, her husband and my aunt was across the ocean, in the Philippines. But dont you agree it was a family reunion? Oh another thing. Last year when me my parents and lil sis went to disney and universal studio, she and her freaking family were there too. Those are just not it, every other trips we have like to New York to visit my moms sister shes there or just going across the border to go shopping or see relatives there shes fricken there. I duno but shes anoying. It all started when my dad got to know her dad at a party. Oh forgot another thing she copys me. Before when I used to love build a bear she bought the exact same thing as me. Same bear and even same clothes for them. And now? I love Twilight, Im a fan, who isnt? guess what? Shes claiming she "LOVES" Twilight and claiming shes a fan of it but you know what? I keep asking her what page she is in the series and she said 150 something. I asked from which book she wouldnt say.I keep on giving details from the series and i keep wondering how she doesnt now if shes "150 something". I was guesing is she read Midnight Sun first after Twilight, Twilight in Edwards perspective found in Stephenie Meyers site but nope, not there either. Its in Twilight!!! Hehe, lolmeg I just called her "its".The first one!!!! She only read the first one claiming shes such a fricken fan!!! Guess when she started? Around Christmas or my bday which was March!!!! It took her that long!!! My siter has a spare youtube acount and we aded her as a friend and comented on her vids you know? At one point we asked which out of the series she loved since her youtube acount has "Cullen" on it Edward’s lastname. Personally I would say Eclipse and Twilight and she said her fav was New Moon and Breaking Dawn. But isnt she the girl still on Twilight? Hence she fricken lied!! Hate her and my lil sis hates her too. Btw shes about 9 and Im 14.
Now on to my sister. Somewhere during the reunion trip I decided that I wanted to make a slideshow from movies maker for the trip. And "coincidentally" she decided to do that after I showed her the first minute of my vid but thankfully she changed her mind. Before the trip I decided I wanted a haircut, you know to change my apearance since its almost school and im starting high school next year. Now, today she got the exact same haircut as me. THE FRICKEN SAME!!!!! I dont hate her. I repeat. I DONT HATE HER. But I just hate biters who copy me. Shes 11 a three year difference.
Now my question is what should I do? Tell my dad or something? Speak my mind? Wasnt it a family reunion the story I wrote? Isnt she annoying if you were me?

I live with 3 people. My mother, my sister, and my brother. My dad died when I was 7 years old. Im the oldest in the family and ever since I can remember my family has always been separated from each other. I think the last time we had a family trip was about 4 years ago to Disney. We only live together but we dont talk to each other. My sister is always out with her boyfriend she pretty much lives at his house. But when shes at home she stays in her room with him. My brother smokes pot & he is always out with his friends but when hes at home he stays in his room. I go to school but when Im at home thats all I ever do too is just stay in my room. Its like we live in our own little apartments in the same house. When we have dinner we all eat in our own rooms. I think if we were to have dinner together at the table it would be awkward because we really dont know anything about each other. Im currently in a relaitionship and have been for about 6 months now. I went and visit my boyfriends family in Connecticut and his family was way different then mine. He has a really big family both greek and indian side. (On my moms side of the family is only my grandpa and aunts, but my grandpa is really old and lives in Panama and my aunts live here in the states but there illegal, my dads side of the family pretty much forgot all about us ever since my dad died but my grandma sends me birthday cards every year, so i never really had a big family). Ive never been around a big ass family before so I was pretty shy but I felt very welcome. Sitting at the dinner table felt like a real family because we all sat together and said grace. Never really done that before, maybe 2 or 3 times in my life but not with my family.
I got jealous a little bit so when I got back home I tried to have a family sunday dinner. I went grocery shopping and bought a lot of pasta and salad and tried to set up the table to have a family dinner. After cooking a big meal my bitch mom comes in the kitchen saying shes not hungry and that shes probably just going to make some cereal. My sister comes in saying she already ate at her boyfriends house. My brother did eat my food but took his plate to his room. So me and my boyfriend just sat on the table and ate together. I told myself that that is the last time Im ever going to try and have a family dinner.
Im very talented. Im a dancer and have been for about 14 years. Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Jazz I do it all. My family has NEVER been to ANY of my performances. I think the last performance my family went to was like 10 years ago and they pretty much fell asleep through it. My mom and brother been to 2 of my park shows before though but that was only because I begged them to go and its a free show…of course. I understand how Ballet can be pretty boring sometimes I mean I agree. But having family support would of made me feel loved and appreciated. They really dont know how talented I am. I have gotten a lot of lead roles & they dont know that. My mom calls me a loser almost everyday. She pretty much hates me because Im the oldest in the fam bam and thinks im not doing anything in my life because I dont have a job right now. I have been looking for a job because I am trying to leave this house and get my own place asap. I know she doesnt hate me not trying to exagerate but she does tell me she hates me sometimes.
My boyfriend recently moved in with me but my mom hates his guts. His family is in Connecticutt and Im in Florida and I didnt want to be seperated and I cant live in CT right now so I asked him to move with me to Florida. My mom doesnt like it but I feel like I need him right now because I dont really have a lot of friends and I have no one to talk too. Im pretty lonely and I think he was sent to me so I wouldnt be lonely. But my mom is always bitching asking me "when is he leaving?" She doesnt even know him or talked to him but my mom is the kind of person who likes to judge a book by its cover. Which is weird because shes very religious and all into God. But a lot of people who are religious loves to judge people around them -.-. My mom is very mean to him and hates him.
( Im thinking about blogging since I tend to type a lot! & it helps get a lot off my mind. )
I hate being lonely. Talking to them about it wont help and plus it will just feel awkward because there not going to care anyways and they dont really listen. Anybody else going through the same thing?

This is a paper about me. I have to write about my background, interests, achievements, and goals. One paragraph (3-5 sentences) per section. When I give my actual speech, I will elaborate on the points I have "outlined" here. I just need to know if it sounds ok (I DO have to turn in the written portion, too), and if I pull it all together. Thanks a bunch!!
BACKGROUND
I grew up in Montrose. It’s a small town, and there wasn’t much to do, so a lot of my memories come from time spent away from home. Although I do remember a trip to Disney World, and one to King’s Island, our vacations were usually a week-long camping trip to the U.P. We would go in late August or early September, right before school started. Sometimes it was cold or rainy, but we always had a good time canoeing, fishing, hiking, or just relaxing by the campfire.
INTERESTS
Some of my interests include reading, cooking, gardening, and spoiling my two cats. This past Christmas I received my first sewing machine, so I am excited to see what I can make with it. But camping will always be at the top of my list. I don’t go as often as I’d like, but when I do go, I always come back with a good story.
ACHIEVEMENTS
My achievements are not great, but there are a few I feel are worth mentioning. Back in 1988 I started competing in roller skating competitions, and I received quite a few awards and medals. Although I did not finish high school, I did go back and earn my G.E.D. I am nearly finished with my associate’s degree, after being out of school for 13 years, and my current GPA is 3.7. Lastly, it is an achievement just to take this class and face my fear of public speaking.
GOALS
Some of my goals include finishing college, paying off my debts, buying a car, building my dream house (which I have designed myself), and visiting Australia some day. A goal my boyfriend and I have together is to own our own restaurant. Some of my shorter-term goals include finishing a book series that I have started reading, planting a rose garden, and sewing curtains for my living room. I would also like to save a little money, and take a week off to go camping this year.
That’s me in a nutshell. Exiting I am not. I hope to have more to say in the future after I pursue some of my interests, and achieve some of my goals.
